The Slumber party wasn’t all it was cracked up to be..

A true fan of government in action..live and in living color, I did my best to stay up last night for the “Filibuster” of the decade. I succeeded to a certain extent. Only specific Senators would put me to sleep. It was just a short nap mind you.
I started out by amusing myself with keeping track of all the times the Repubes would use one of their time-honored slogans or buzzwords. You know…cut and run, supporting the troops…the ones we all hear a hundred times a month from both sides of the aisle.
It got old quick.
There were some funny moments however. John McCain was a hoot on several occasions. Yes, he was on multiple times as were many of the Senators. I think I saw at least 75% of them. I didn’t see Obama until this morning. Hillary put me to sleep when she appeared around 3-4am forgive me for not being more specific.
If your wondering about whether I am going to tell you anything important here..I’m not. I just wanted to bitch about the 12 hours I watched all these farkwits wax poetic about why they did or did not support the war in Iraq.
At least John Boehner wasn’t there to cry. I would of shot my television I swear.

I had trouble sleeping last night,and wished I had this for help!
I watched too…and I realized that certain ones ( McCain , Thune esp. ) were causing me to go into a coma- so when they would talk- I would actually YOUTube, esp, good songs….Johnny Cash “Hurt”, John Mellencamp” Our Country”,
and George Micheal, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine, I didn’t think I was bothering anyone until my son yelled down, ” Hay, check the cat, she sound hurt or something”….hmm, end of singing…( it was nice singing OUR country loud when McCain was still spewing his bushhumping logic….) And yup, I was waiting for a CRYING moment ( Voinavich or Boehner would have been expected)….
I mostly just want all the Repuke assholes on the record with their Idiot bush support- so it can be played on Youtube next Election round and haunt them and show what fools they are….
But thanks for blogging on it…I didn’t - thought everyone else would….so much for my first One Night Stand in over 20 years….it sucked mostly….( and yeah, I wanted to hear Obama, and I didn’t get to hear him…I was comatose by then..)

I have never been a fan of Bush’s Puppet Theater, with puppetmaster Rove pulling the strings of both parties.

E4E..tried a little music but still drifted off damn it.

Larry..it was the Dem’s too! But even they fell short of providing anything concrete in most cases.
