Will history be kind to Krazy Karl?
August 15, 2007 by Dusty
Turdblossom will leave the Executive Branch at the end of August. This marks the end of his reign of terror on the United States.
Or does it? There are plenty of articles out there trying to lay claim to what they think Krazy Karl will do next, after the dust settles and his wife and son get tired of seeing him on a daily basis. This write-up explores the way history will view Bush’s Brain,The Architect.. aka Karl Christian Rove.
First, some facts about Karl Rove:
Rove was born on Christmas Day. If that doesn’t kill the holiday for you, I don’t know what would.
Rove went to no less than 4 different colleges. He doesn’t hold a degree from any of them. Needless to say, he dodged the draft using the college deferment.
Rove’s mentor and first political boss was Donald Segretti of Watergate fame. Under Segretti, he taught a class for Young Republicans on how to sift through the garbage of Democratic candidates. We know what happened to Segretti my dear reader. Rove was also investigated for Watergate crimes but the FBI considered him small potatoes.
Rove owned a direct-mail firm, which specialized in political campaigns, before he went to work for Bush43. He was involved in dozens of campaigns marked by dirty tricks, sexual innuendo and the use of friendly FBI agents and prosecutors to harass Democrats. He sold the business when he signed on with Bush43 in 1999, as demanded by Bush43 himself as a condition of hiring Rove.
Rove was fired from Bush41’s failed Presidential campaign in 1980 for leaking information to the Press.
Rove was again fired, this time from the 1992 Bush41 presidential campaign, after he planted a negative story with columnist Robert Novak about dissatisfaction with campaign fundraising chief Robert Mosbacher Jr.
Karl Rove was the brain trust behind winning and a few losing campaigns. He is viewed by some political minds as brilliant. I think Rover is ruthless and you don’t have to be brilliant to be ruthless folks. Take his campaign against Ann Richards. He planted the thought that Ann was a closet lesbian. His first dirty trick as a teenager was to steal the campaign stationary for Al Dixon, a democrat running for IL state treasurer. He then proceeded to print over a thousand fake invitations announcing “free beer, free food, girls and a good time for nothing” and passed them out in the most downtrodden parts of Chicago. Those that showed up for the Democrat’s upscale party were not what Dixon had in mind, and it was embarrassing. Dixon still won the election however.
Rove likes to say that Jack Abramoff was just an acquaintance, however the evidence says otherwise; The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has identified 82 contacts between Abramoff’s team and Rove’s office, including a series of communications in which Abramoff set Rove up with tickets to watch the NCAA basketball tournament from his skybox at what was then known as the MCI Center in Washington.
Rove is the person behind the slime-ing of Democrats as soft on terror. This has proven to be his one “brilliant” albeit bullshit strategy that is still being used by all Republicans (with the exception of Ron Paul) today. He equated all Democrats with liberals when he made this public statement: “Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 in the attacks and prepared for war,” Rove said in a speech in Manhattan. “Liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers. No more needs to be said about the motives of liberals.”
Rove’s political power was built upon attacking the opposition with lies, leaks and innuendos in order for his ‘candidate’ to win. To say he never played fair would be an understatement. When he felt that BushCo needed to do something to counter efforts from the ‘other’ side, he had no qualms about going for the jugular of people like Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame. Anyone and anything was fair game for Karl Rove.
Rove was able to accomplish something no other administration has; politicizing every Department in the Federal government. That this trait smacks of Fascism is obvious. His fingerprints are all over the glaring lack of science and common sense used in departments such as the EPA and the FDA to name two. He was able to harness and utilize the religious wingnut right, even though he personally held them in contempt, with his “God, Guns and Gays” mentality. His ability to use the Mainstream Media as an arm of the Republican Party in general and the Bush43 White House are legendary. One need only look at the run-up to the Iraq War as proof that the corporate media was willing to be led by the nose into the abyss that has become Bush’s War for Oil.
But for all his smarmy tactics and dirty tricks, Rove failed miserably at the one thing he craved: creating a sustaining Republican monarchy here in the U.S. When he announced his departure yesterday, there wasn’t a soul on the right that stood up to hail the “Little Caesar”. No one sounded off about what a wunderkind Rove is. No one took the time to wax poetic about what Rove has done for the Republican Party and the United States. To be sure, many of his minions are now working in many of the campaigns of the republican candidates for president. How much they fall back on Rove’s “theories of getting elected at any cost” remains to be seen. But the man, the myth and the legend is leaving the House of Bush at the end of this month and for that we can heave a sigh of relief..or a gasp of fear. Fear that he will teach young adults at a college somewhere even though he never graduated from one. Fear that he will pop up somewhere, running someone else’s smarmy bullshit campaign of fear and lying to get elected at any cost. He has been quoted as saying Hillary Clinton is ‘fatally flawed’ as part of his goodbye interview yesterday.
Because the beast that is Karl Rove isn’t dead..we haven’t driven a stake through his little black heart yet. Only the Congress of the United States can do that..and they don’t seem very willing so far to do what needs to be done with respect to bringing an end to Krazy Karl Rove, once and for all. If justice is ever served, we will one day see Rove in prison orange..but I am not holding my breath on that one my dear reader. The man wears a Teflon suit and knows where all the bodies are buried for the Republican Party and for BushCo in particular.
For now, he will write a book, become rich and speak to us only if we pay him to. Hopefully the final chapter will show that Rove failed and the Great Republican Monarchy he tried so hard to build…will crumble into a steaming pile of cowshit in the next election cycle. Here is hoping America will make a left turn into the middle and walk away from the mess that Rove helped create.

What fine pictures! They suit the man so well, pay him fitting tribute.
The NY Times recently ran a tender article on Papa Bush and the pain he feels at being affirmed himself while hearing his son criticized. I was on the verge of feeling sorry for the old gent when I read that he visited the White House often and had breakfast with Karl Rove.
Well! That was the end of any sympathy I had been forming in my bozoom!
wow…a lot of really disgusting info here- good job…you found plenty of dirt on this creature, why the MSM is still hellbent on immortalizing him is beyond me…
The MSM is singing his praises because he got over on them..and they have to know it by now. They got snookered E4E.
