I wonder how many billions it would have taken to have had the engineers do a decent job on the levees? It's not that New Orleans is like part of the United States or anything, their tax dollars helped pay for that sucky job. The levees were just shoddy and inadequate. I hadn't seen the one with the boy and his kitties...that is a sweet pic though the circumstances suck. Again...Bush to the rescue of the downtrodden! That's another subject that is sore with me to think about. I feel a tightening in my chest already between this and Demon's post about Padilla.
