The problem with fuck-ups in power is…

…fuck-ups with power.

spying

Blink.

How the fuck is a bitch supposed to trust the same government that has fucked up just about everything to do anything right?

My nerves are fried…the simplest of news item now inspires terror as a bitch contemplates the minions in charge actually trying to be in charge!

Example - the Pentagon will power down the infamous TALON database on September 17, 2007. The database was supposed to track threats to military bases and such…but somehow it went retro all on its own (blink, blink followed by blink) and got its Nixon on by tracking peaceful anti-war protest and participants.

Oh, I’d like to be glad that another arm of our government that was being used as a weapon against political enemies of the current Nightmare in Charge and his war is being shut down.

But the same fuck-ups who lost a shit load of guns in Iraq…the same fuck-ups who used the system to violate the rights of Americans because they had the audacity to utilize their right to peaceful protest…and the same fuck-ups who contracted with a wanted criminal who supplied arms to al Qaeda and paid him a fabillion trillion dollars to fly arms for America (oh, for the love of…SHIT!)…those same assholes are now being trusted to power down a database containing sensitive information about average folks.

Mercy!

The Threat and Local Observation Notice database includes reports on some 150 local anti-war protests.

And they’re just going to “power down” the database.

Right…great…with our luck they’ll shut down the internets accidentally on purpose.

More Bush Lies

Dusty I have gone from being angry all the time, to depressed, to fearful about my family and the world of shit we are handing our children. I tried hard to see the “other sides” but honestly I cant even listen anymore.

I have come around to one thing: that what helps me is being around people who understand, not people who minimize the crimes of this government or the seriousness of the violations of rights. I am tired of people with money and opportunity saying “its no big deal if abortion becomes illegal”. I am tired of people saying they have nothing to hide, so who cares about spying. I think what we see, even among many on the left, is a sense of “not my kid, so….” thinking. What disturbs me is the lack of real concern UNIVERSALLY for rights, for accountability. I mean, we expect their partisan antics because they are promoting their own interests.

But what is OUR interest in going along with it? What do WE get out of enabling this bullshit? More debt, more death, more hatred from the world, a toxic planet, other people controlling our lives?

So they lose a bunch of guns… its time for “America’s Got Talent” with David Hasselhoff! Turn it up, Dusty! Apparently THAT is what a bitch better do.

My only consolation is a small drain on the governments funds that my life represents~my file starting in 1669. It’s not much but I figure it cost them something to spy on dangerous old me..lol.
Seriously we had best talk, write and bitch while we can…because it is all dominos. One falls the rest follow.

Lynn, I hear what your saying. I think the problem isn’t one we can solve overnight. We must continue to educate the general voting public. The Traditional Media is just as responsible for the dumbing down of American voters as anything else.

We need to start with the T.M and hold THEM accountable for the bullshit they spew and call it news. They still print the BushCo lies and call it news/facts, knowing full well it is NEITHER.

Sagefever, I fear the same things you do..I wait for Bush to cancel our next election cycle. But that said, we can’t sit around wringing our hands and bitching..we need to do what we can to change the status quo.

The “scales of Justice” need to be tipped! Tipped to the left side of the isle.
