Over at OpenLeft, there is a fine article that lays out who the BushDogs/BlueDogs are. It identifies them for those of us not familiar with the term or the people it represents. I have a BushDog in my district as a matter of fact, his name is Jim Costa. But what bothers me about the article is how they lay out statistics about the area and how Hispanic it is. BFD..does anyone think for one minute that there aren’t Hispanics that don’t vote right of the center? This area of the San Joaquin valley is the reddest in the state. There is a reason AHNOLD comes here to visit more than any other part of Cali.It’s bred into these families. Decades of voting rightwing. They might be democratic on social issues but they are not democratic on EVERY issue. Therein lies the fallacy. To me, this area is more of a Lieberman Democrat-type area. They are really fucking DINO’S people!

This part of the valley has supported nothing BUT BlueDog/BushDog Democrats..check out Nicole Parra, who Costa ran against for the state senate seat a couple of years ago. That Corporate whore, and I use the term correctly, is so far up the Corporate Farmers ass she knows what they had for breakfast, lunch and dinner people! The Costa/Parra race was close for a reason…they represent the same type of mindset.

For me, it comes down to educating the voters. We have to make them realize these candidates are NOT their friends..they represent the corporate interests first and foremost.

And that..is no easy task.
