Blank

August 27, 2007 by Diva Jood

I’ve decided I want to look like I’ve never had a care in my life.  Not a worry.  I want to be blank, like Cher.     I want to be bland, and boring, and expressionless.  That way, I can scare myself on a daily basis.

Kidding.  Really.  Just trying to figure out the links and code stuff here.

LOL - it’s the only way to learn, sometimes!

    HAHA! Great post.

Other theories: (1) She’s had herself dipped in that icky plastic stuff that the corpses in those freaky “Bodies” exhibits touring the museums used (& she’s next); (2) she’s adopted a plastic surgeon; (3) she sold her soul to the Debbil & has a portrait in her back room accumulating all the icky stuff (Dorian Gray).

Diva..it IS the only way when you don’t have the cash to let someone else do it. :P

Oh, Dorian Grey. That’s what she’s done!

When I was a kid I just loved that movie…”Portrait of Dorian Grey”…loved the hell out of it! Very young Angela Lansbury in the day. Anyway…if I spelled it wrong…it’s the Murder She Wrote lady.

Speaking of Angela Lansbury, there’s a star who has aged naturally, & apparently is content to let the focus ride on her talent. Same with Meryl Streep. There ARE some who resist the debilitating Hollywood pressure to focus on the superficial. Some, but not enough.

There was a film several years ago with Judi Dench, Joan Plowright, Maggie Smith and Cher - Tea with Mussolini - so you’ve got these three great English actresses, with real faces, and Cher.

    It was bizarre.

Really, truly, the post was just me learning how to do code in WordPress instead of Blogger. Not serious!

Although I have decided that in my next life, I will come back as Nancy Reagan so I can wear Galianos in a size 0.

Everytime I see Botox i think about all the kids who should be getting this instead of people who are afraid to age. Children with C.P. can have a time released gizzmo placed in the spinal coloum, and instead of freezing their already stiff muscles, the botox relaxes them. They then can gain more control. Exspensive however and when we have rich women/men worried about their faces vs. helpless gimps~ guess who wins?

  14. demon princess on August 29th, 2007 2:34 pm

Diva: Dame Judi Dench is another actress whose talent I greatly admire, & who has a “real” face. Thanks for the reminder. Oddly enough, Cher does have acting talent, but prefers instead to devote the attention to her looks.

Great observation, Sage. My guess is that Medicaid could not be convinced to pay for such treatments, IF those kids’ families could even qualify to get it now, since George has unilaterally revised the rules.

Well obviously rich men and women deserve more attention than helpless gimps, right? Geeze, where are we living ladies?

  16. demon princess on August 29th, 2007 4:49 pm

Oh, me. Living in a dream world again, where the resources of the world’s richest country can be funnelled into treating kids instead of enabling luxe lifestyles for the privileged.

I keep forgetting that here in America, if you’re poor & disenfranchised, you have nobody but yourself to blame.

    Heil Hitler–I mean, Bush!
