diggin’ for the truth

diggin’ for the truth

Bush and fire victimsi thought that nothing could ever surprise me with these folks anymore, until i read this news article from reuters:

“A Bush administration official whose department had government workers pose as journalists in a news conference has been dropped from a planned new job as media chief for the top U.S. spy agency.”

huh. i guess i wonder who talked them out of that one. they don’t seem to listen to anyone’s advice but their own. the fact that a significant portion of america still adheres to this belief system- cronyism, corruption, bigotry, etc., is absolutely mind boggling. the fact that there are more people waking up to this style of ‘governing’ and ‘leadership’- is the only ray of hope i can cling to. this is par for the course with the folks who redid the white house press room to resemble a sound stage- and who brought us ‘troops pretend to like w‘ back in the early days of the war- oh- and who could forget the pentagon’s faux news bought and paid for by taxpayers’ monies- all from the folks who brought us ‘texas bush‘ who was born and raised in new england.

i wish that we could pretend that this whole thing was a scary movie for halloween and take it back to the store. for all of the ‘truth’ in this political system- this corporatocracy- it may as well be.

It’s all about the timing. Within hours of the announcement about FEMA interviewing itself, it came out that the lead idiot in that mess was leaving to go to spy agency…within hours! OK, so this guy was basically the face in the midst of a full-blown farce and then it’s announced that he’s going to be the face of a new place. Can you say “credibility problem”? They may be slow learners, but I think the administration is picking up on the whole, “if this keeps getting around the blogosphere, we’ll never hear the end of it”. And, honestly, I think they do want it to go away. Right now, everything the administration has its hands on is basically dynamite and they are trying to stop the “bloodshed” so that the news all day all the time is not about “another” bush administration f&ck up! Too little, too late, of course. Now, if only they worried about credibility and reputation when they were “given” the white house back in the day and we might be talking about some good things this administration has accomplished. Sadly, that is never going to happen.
