It's all about the timing. Within hours of the announcement about FEMA interviewing itself, it came out that the lead idiot in that mess was leaving to go to spy agency...within hours! OK, so this guy was basically the face in the midst of a full-blown farce and then it's announced that he's going to be the face of a new place. Can you say "credibility problem"? They may be slow learners, but I think the administration is picking up on the whole, "if this keeps getting around the blogosphere, we'll never hear the end of it". And, honestly, I think they do want it to go away. Right now, everything the administration has its hands on is basically dynamite and they are trying to stop the "bloodshed" so that the news all day all the time is not about "another" bush administration f&ck up! Too little, too late, of course. Now, if only they worried about credibility and reputation when they were "given" the white house back in the day and we might be talking about some good things this administration has accomplished. Sadly, that is never going to happen.
