Dems cave again..give Bush another $70b for war.

Christ, I swear to Buddha, the Dem’s are closet Rethugs. From the Reuters:
The U.S. Senate on Tuesday approved sweeping legislation to keep the government operating through September 2008 and handed President George W. Bush a victory by including additional Iraq war funds without conditions for ending the combat.
By a vote of 76-17, the Senate approved the $556 billion fiscal 2008 spending bill.
Only 17 elected reps’s voted against this bullshit. Simply fucking amazing. They represent who? It sure as hell isn’t the average American voter. The House could approve this bullshit as early as Wednesday. Probably so they can take an early Christmas recess.
This money could keep Bush’s war humming merrily along until the summer. White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said “we’re comfortable” with the $70 billion, as long as the rest is provided later.
I bet you are bitch..this just really chafes my butt. Keep voting for those Democrats..they really support the voice of the people.

Yep— senate members feared if they did not act to approve the funding, it would shut the government down. I just finished blogging on my site that I have no problem with that– even volunteered to fly to D.C. to nail *OUT OF ORDER* signs on Congress & White House Doors. We’ll see if they take me up on that offer. Um hmm– well at least Nancy P promised last week that both the House & Senate will refuse to approve more war funding without a timeline for troop withdrawl. But today she is quoted as saying it will likely get approved in the house, although she will vote no. Well Nanc, I won’t hold my breath. Meanwhile, my bullshit-o-meter is in the red zone. Sorry kids, you can’t have health care for $35 billion over 5 YEARS, because we must use our billions for wars. But we have secured the ability to officially wish you a merry christmas.
