dusty, that is remarkable. very moving and tragic to see it spelled out that way. i despise george bush, for whom there was never a chance in hell he would have to serve in vietnam, solely because of an accident of birth. he makes me sick. sick.

yes. end the war. end it now. it seems we've lost focus in the last couple of months since the petraeus lies were delivered to congress.

You know, I just read that whole thing. I am a vet and a lot of my buddies had and still have PTSD. I am concerned that our soldiers today are abused and misused then they come home and it gets worse. I have a coupke sons in this. One is EOD and heading back to Iraq in the spring. His Afghanistan stories just made me shake my head. It is PTSD that concerns me the most but IED's don't help either.
One of his brothers just got back with his plane from somewhere in the middle east but he flies so I don't worry about him too much. It is there little brother preparing to go in the army as a demolition expert that concerns me because to me if he survives he is a future case of PTSD.
This is war like none other and our soldiers and the type of combat they will see is like no other. They are from a society that for the most part has been kind to them and life has been easier making combat that much more of a horrendous experience and PTSD that much more possible. I am still just shaking my head!
