I logged onto my computer this morning and read Memeorandum, my normal get the drift activity. Barack’s appeal to the little guys to step up and match Hillary’s five million dollar “loan” to her campaign of her personal wealth was near the top; I knew it was all over the net. I clicked, and saw he’s rasied 6.5 million since the close of polls on Super Tuesday. All small donations, all individual citizens.

Wow.

Even more wow, is the fact that in less than 4 hours, he’s raised ANOTHER million. From the little guys, the average voter, the people who don’t have 5 million to loan themselves when things aren’t going according to plan. It’s ten bucks here, 100 bucks there.

It’s a movement.

A massive outpouring of small cash translates into a massive number of individual voters INVESTED in this campaign. They want what he offers. They don’t want a continuance of the Bush/Clinton monopoly on leadership. They are done with old style, inherently corrupt representation that is DESIGNED to disenfranchise them from the process.

They want leadership that has vision, that has passion, that tells them straight out that they must be an active part of the process in order to move the nation in the direction of honest, solid growth.

They want to own it.

Not in the way of the false premise of Bush’s ownership society. They want a functioning democracy that’s constitution ally based, that they are responsible for, and that they can be proud of. By the people, for the people needs to have meaning again, and in the campaign of Obama this ideal is validated. It’s breathtaking to watch America wake up.
