According to the LAT, via TruthOut, Bush plans on ramping up the American troop strength in Afghanistan. I really want to know how our Idiot-in-Chief plans on doing this. From the writeup:
Zagreb, Croatia - President Bush told a NATO summit that the United States would increase its number of troops in Afghanistan, administration officials said Friday, as the president sought to assure partners of Washington’s long-term commitment to the campaign.
Gates has admitted we are at the bottom of the barrel as far as how many troops we can have spread all over the fucking globe. Apparently he didn’t make George aware of that tiny fact?
Also, this news is out this morning and it bodes well for the soldiers:
WASHINGTON (AP) - The Associated Press has learned that the Bush administration plans to announce next week that U.S. soldiers’ combat tours will be reduced from 15 months to 12 months beginning later this summer.
The decision is expected to get final, formal approval in the coming days. And it comes as Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, prepares to deliver a progress report to Congress next week on the improved security situation in Iraq.
A senior administration official told the AP on Friday about the plans. The official spoke on condition of anonymity ahead of the announcement.
Ah..its all about the Petraeus dog and pony show coming up..I think I get it now.

I heard this, this morning. I wish I saved it but I didn’t and I just couldn’t find it. I was friggen amazed when I heard that this morning knowing how over extended we are and that it will soon get a lot worse.
Particularly since Bush had that meeting a week ago and the pentagon Generals told him they could spare no more and could react nowhere else in the world. Fucking assHole. As with everyone else he listens to his Generals yeah before he ignores them. WTF! this friggen idiot won’t rlent and he has yet to do his worst!
