The Daily Coyote..

Shreve is a woman that likes to be different. She traversed our fair nation on a motor scooter. Not a motorcycle, a Vespa. All by herself. She now lives in Wyoming with her orange tabby Eli and Charlie.
Charlie is a coyote. He came into her life when he was ten days old and both his parents had been killed. None of his brothers and sisters survived. He then came down with Parvo. His life hasn’t been a cakewalk.
He isn’t her pet, not by a longshot. Shreve gives him elk legs to chew on, and if he decides he wants to return to the wild, she will bid him farewell. But until then, we get pictures of him and his mentor Eli. We also get videos of the life in Wyoming in a one-room cabin. And we get the Daily Coyote where we can live vicariously through them all.

You cannot tame a wild animal in a single generation, but this is still very cool, I have always been fascinated with the minds of animals. The animals are part of the eco system, and all have a reason for being.
Unfortunately many humans do not understand this, and are only interested in their self-serving “entitlements”. The gray wolves have recently make a come back and were recently taken off the endangered species list, and now hundreds of them have already been killed. In Colorado some fool originally from Texas just had hired guns slaughter a bunch of roaming bison.
Humans can be so base and inhumane.
Big Fella, your right about the Grey Wolf, I have followed that issue, and it breaks my heart. Your also right about not taming a wild animal and Shreve knows that.
Our Eco-system has been broken by we humans, and yet we, the universal we, refuse to understand that inherent point.
