Assume the position

Well folks, the government & pundits “predicted” we would have $4 buck-a-gallon gas by summer & they are making good on the promise. I watched every grade of fuel soar near or above the $4 mark in mid May in Oregon.
I’ve been watching this local gas station sign prices go up & up all week… How ’bout that $3.99.9 pricing?

Check out the subtle tape line on the #3– they took a #8 & made it a 3. I’m sure they are just being more efficient as it may well be $8 bucks a gallon sometime soon. As a boon to the economy, the people who manufacture the numbers they put up manually on gas price signs, have a a run of orders for the number *4*. Last year it was the number *3*, and some industrious folks with foresight are already busy making *5’s*. As some kind of abstract art statement, above the sign in the distance is a green traffic light ~ that would be a go for record profits for big oil.

I calculated that I had worked 5.5 hours to fill one tank of gas- last week, anyway.

That’s funny! Any attempt to make the price drop will only work in the reverse There are a lot of factors at play here but remember oil per barrel has increase $100 per Barrel since Bush. He blames everything on Congress but it is all his doing. I don’t know is attacking Iran will be what does it but gas at the pump has to hit $5 then T Boone Pickens is right about tapping our shale oil where we have more oil reserves than the entire world combined. Bush set it as a priority in 2005! Anyway just this morning I told me fiance do not be surprised at $10 gas. I personally will not be surprised and expect food and gas cards as during the depression.

I drove past that same sign today– did not catch all the numbers, but they already changed

    3.87 yesterday– $3.93 today -regular

    3.99 yesterday–$4.03 today.

I will predict regular at that station will be at $4 bucks by the end of next week.

It is creating a domino effect…. everything costs more as a result. Obviously the oil tycoon president is ok with the soaring prices. As he put it, he does not have magic wand.

    That’s for damned sure.

So, we can’t afford to go to work to underearn so we can’t afford to purchase the overpriced food (food shortages).

    Hmmm.
