this won’t sway the clintonistas one bit
May 17, 2008 by Betmo
i am no fan of hillary clinton. being a woman, i defy her minions to call me a misogynist. no doubt they will because they are morons. they are no better than the right wing that they emulate- from their racist innuendo to the white feminists exclusion of women of color and lesbian, bisexual and transgendered women- oh and let’s not forget the free thinkers like me. it is of little to no importance to these mental midgets who have sworn their fealty to queen hillary that hillary’s loss had more to do with her negative campaigning and marginalizing of whole swaths of people in the democratic party and less to do with her gender. she keeps touting herself as the most electable candidate and that she would win the general election. perhaps in her own reality- this is true.
i hate to tell her but 80% of this country is tired of politics as usual and politics taken from the 1990’s playbook. people in this country want 180 degree change from the right wing policies and ideologies that have brought america to her knees. if hillary clinton had studied just a little bit longer and harder, maybe she would have passed the test. perhaps if she had done some real research and field work- and learned to pump her own gas and buy her own coffee once in her life- she could have included the disenfranchised in the democratic party. no- instead, she played the race card for all it was worth and played up outright lies that were the epitome of the right wing fear mongering. but that hasn’t stopped her minions from playing up the misused misogyny card every single time. i have yet to read a clintonista that touts her platform. most sound like that right wing radio guy who got smacked down by- of all people- chris matthews. they spew the rhetoric without substance and none of them know their ass from a hole in the ground. i am in no mood to be conciliatory and i will not vote for clinton in any way shape or form every again. because in my mind- it is a vote for a republican.

I am tired of both sides of the Democratic aisle sniping at each other. Neither side is without blame.

Yep that’s it betmo–Clinton is right of center. Her problems & flaws cross linse that should slam the presidential door shut. She has played the race card, the minister card, the hard working white voter card. I get 2 or more calls every day from her campaign. the local newspaper has made the front page an altar for clinton. Even the day Obama got the John Edwards AND NARAL endorsements- that was not on the front page– it was clinton headquarters in a giant full colored (yet white if you know what I mean) photo with the headline * CLINTON SUPPORTERS STAND BY THEIR WOMAN*. Obama’s huge endorsement story was a skimpy article on page 4 with no photo.
Come on! I even called the damned managing editor & said your glowing endorsement of hillary failed to even report the fact of her $20 million dollar campaign debt. Hell- who needs facts when you can fill pages with propaganda? This biased crap is when Oregon voters have ballots in hand. We have 3 weeks to vote by mail… so this is no innocent fau paux- they are trying to omit & slant news to the favor of one candidate.
I suggested the very leat they could do is dedicate even and equal front page space & pictures. Do a split & cover each candidates campaign. Apparently that is not gonna happen because the asshole prints another full cover color (yet white) photo of hill in a construction site. Several pages later a story of how Obama is doing beter financially in managing his campaign & support, saying hillary has loaned her campaign $11 million…. but even then did not report the $20 million debt!
I wrote an editorial saying the lack of balance is more than I can take & who else oversees this managing of the front page content, because I would have to give it an *F* grade- failure to report in an unbiased & professional manner. Get rid of that managing editor.
Follow the actual campaign, don’t feed us filtered pablum for one candidate.
I would love to have a female president. Clinton is just not it.
I just got yet another call for the Clinton campaign.
the called blathered on the script about hillarys “experience”, I finally stopped her & said, actually Obama has more experience & frankly, I can’t get behind a candidate wo can’t even run her campaign in the black, let alone entrust her the run the country.
She tried to tell me the money thing is ok she can get the money…. besides, this hard working white voter already voted for Obama, so this conversation is a moot point. At that point I hung up.
Maybe now that the ballot is literally signed, sealed & delivered, I should refuse to take any more clinton calls.
Tracy Morgan on SNL put it best in a rebuttal to a Tina fey peice about clinton being the new black & she deserves the presidency.
Morgan said clinton may be the new black, but black is the new president, bitch.
As much as the white female card is played by hill, I have to say this election has shown lots of folks to be
racist. They are not coming right out & saying it…. but I can tell deep down they can not get past skin color.
Even if you have a brilliant mind with great potential… they are hung up on color & holding back no stops on all kinds of racist, fear/hate mongering shit.
Can this country save itself?
Sure seems like one nation divided to me.

I ain’t blaming Shillary for the fact that the bigots and racists are backing her.
I plain ass don’t like her tactics in this campaign. If she actually works to get Obama elected in the general, I might forgive her.
If she doesn’t…she will move into the column currently inhabited by Joe LIEberman-”DINO’s not worth the powder to blow them up”
Whew! guess I needed to get that off my chest. We are in the thick of primary circus here. Before I worte this post I got the clinton campaign call, just after I posted it, I got a recorded survery… if the primary were held to day who would I vote for… how fun could that be…. I can make myself over 65, male, voted reich wing. There was not option to say when hell freezes over….

I was just listening to that BS again! I wish she would go away but she will not. Al Gore could come out today and put an end to this. I posted to fight going on between the right and Obama. He challenged Bush and McCain to a Debate. I’d like to see that but I can’t wait for a head on between McCain and Obama. I know most are sick of the crap and want a change but I am afraid many will by the right’s BS on changing and the dung they are being fed by Rove, McCain, and Bush!
Jims last blog post..what a slip" Obama says he’s been in 57 States! He must be tired!
This is really off the subject–but I have to know—I saw Hillary two days ago-during a campaign stop—a little “town hall meetin” type thing—she was freakin’ two hours late–not one word of apology from her–turned me off big time–wasn’t Bill always late too?

dusterella, she encouraged the racists and bigots to back her. that’s part of her campaign strategery
i know that the obama camp and those minions are probably just as bad- but i haven’t come into contact with any of them. truly haven’t. the obama supporters i have any contact with are reluctant supporters on their 3rd or 4th candidate and he is the lesser of the 3 evils so to speak. i don’t think he’s a bad choice- he is certainly not my first. however, clinton’s minions ruined her campaign for her. they have turned so very many people off to even listening to clinton- that it may be a shame. as i said- most folks want change from the negative, corrosive, damaging rhetoric- and clinton seemed to embrace it. she wasn’t content to simply run on her laurels- she had to destroy obama. he could have been an asset to her- or her to him- but she torched the bridges and lit the countryside on fire. her campaign went up in flames because she lit the match.

Hillary’s biggest mistake is that she thought she had the nomination wrapped up before the campaign even began. And upon realizing she didn’t, turned to the worst low-road possible.

I think Kona’s right..she had no idea how to deal with the reality of the situation.
That and Terry McAuliffe is a fucking tool.
Oregon is in the thick of it right now- mail in ballots get counted on tuesday…. Hillary has run a 100% positive ad in my area. Not one negative ad. Her phone bank is relentless calls 2x a day– but they get printouts of who has laready voted & we just turned in our ballots yesterday, so maybe they will back off now.
Al Gore is in a tough position… the Clintons had him as vice president, and he will likely be very much so involved in either winner’s staff, so he has to wait & tow the line.
