Liz Trotter commits a Federal Crime on Fox News

Hat tip to Robert Rouse for this. It was bad enough that Mrs. Clinton, once again, invoked the assassination of Robert Kennedy as a reason for her to continue campaigning. I have not weighed in on this before, because I actually don’t want to give Mrs. Clinton the time of day. There are enough people on the “internets” doing just that, and I would rather focus on the positive. However, Mrs. Clinton did not suggest that anything should happent to Mr. Obama.
Not so Liz Trotter. Fox News has repeatedly and deliberately misspoken Barack Obama’s last name, calling him Osama more times than I am capable of listing. But in discussing the Clinton debacle with anchor Eric Shawn, Ms. Trotter not only refers to Obama as Osama, she says we should knock off both, if we could.
This is a crime. I mean, an arrestable crime. If someone other than a Fox News person made this suggestion, they would be arrested by the Secret Service and tried. After our nation’s sordid history of assassination, the Secret Service takes this threat quite seriously. But this is Fox News. Ms. Trotter has “apologized.”
Not good enough. Not good enough at all. Contact the FCC and demand that Ms. Trotter be held accountable:

Liz Tongue-tied Trotter sure enjoys her word play with the Osama-Obama name association. I doubt the gvmnt would actually arrest her, maybe give her a big FCC handslap. However, a hefty fine each time she makes “knock off Osama-Obama, well both would be good” remark, would literally cost her - a lot.
But as I relistened to this piece, she also quoted someone as saying “We have seen an x ray of a very dark soul”, which Trotter calls a *campaign killer if I ever heard one*, she also says Hillary has evasions, outright lies, pandering, race baiting, and that whatever Hillary meant, the use of the assassination reference was *tone deaf* because it is a “radiocative word”. She not exactly painting a rosy picture of Hillary @ this juncture & rightly so. Thanks for pointing this out though, if you changed the names - the secret service might be all over this remark.

PS Howard Stern used to get slapped with $5000 FCC fines all the time. I bet Ms. Trotter would watch her words more carefully if she had to pay hefty fines.

Fran, anything remotely appropriate and insightful that Ms. Trotter may have said is tarnished and forgotten because of two glaring, and in my opinion, intentional gaffes: any man or woman with her credentials knows the difference between Obama and Osama. Fox News and its correspondents deliberately make that “mistake” in an attempt to push fear at the people who watch Fox News. So when she said “Osama” and then corrected herself to say Obama, she was fueling that fear. Next, by joking about bumping off both of them she deliberately plants a seed into the mind of some crackpot racist who might think it a good idea. Dangerous, dangerous territory. A $5000 fine is not enough. Her apology is not accepted.
Dusty, good. Email them, and contact the Secret Service to suggest that she is a person of interest. This has to stop.

I can see how people join ranks with Bin Laden. When you have the likes of Fox news who hopes some one will kill americians, then I would definately join with the any opposing side to kill the infidels.
Her comments were way out of line. But, my fellow Dem’s we must also condemn the comments for President Bush’s assassination. We all know there have been plenty on the blogs. How can we be taken seriously and not branded as hypocrites when we are guilty of the same thing. This attitude must stop and it starts with you!

Who’s a fucking Democrat? People assume just because folks are left of center they are democrats.
I am not…I am registered as Decline to State in Cali which allows me to vote for whomever shares my beliefs on the issues..which btw isn’t always a Democrat. Look at Dianne Feinstein..,.biggest damn DINO in Congress!
