Sirens Chronicles is a year old today.

July 1, 2008 by Dusty

Our first post can be read here. Its a lofty post, one that showed the promise of what we wanted to accomplish with this site. Five of the original writers are still writing here..is that a record of some sort? Group blogs have their problems and personality clashes and Sirens sure as shit had those. Originally we  had only females writing, that changed a few months later.

Sadly the world is more fucked up than it was a year ago.

Anyway, still going strong we will not be silent. We will continue to rail against the bullshit of our leaders. We will hold their feet to the friggin fire every chance we get. We will shine the light of truth into their fucking beady little rat eyes as often as we can.

Thank you to the writers who have stuck it out, you ladies know who you are. Without DivaJood, Dizzy Dezzi, Betmo, Enigma and Jet..this blog would of died about six months ago. Check out our authors page, because we do have a nice sized staff that contributes to our group blog. Here is to another year hopefully. I did pay the yearly hosting bill..so I know if this blog kicks the bucket, it won’t be for that reason. ;)

Dusty, big congratulations on your blogiversary to you and your fellow bloggers.
A year can produce a lot of things for a group, as you say. The good stuff lingers and most of the other stuff just goes away with time.
I am glad to be a new contributor to an established group of such high quality. I will work hard to lure the unwary all the way to the rocks; though then I’ll throw a lifeline, as I see myself as a friendly siren.
BTW, my trip is going well. I am able to access my sister’s computer to my heart’s content.

isn’t this exciting? i am pleased and proud to be a contributor (such as i am :) i find that it is more than writing scintillating prose to me, however, as i have made important lasting friendships. sirens would not be here without dusterella and her hard work- her faith in sirens is the driving force. happy blog birthday!!

Betmo..you are the driving force..not me girlfriend.;)

Its the writers that make Sirens what it is..I don’t give a shit if the rest of the blogosphere knows it..but we are awesome indeed!

Sending love your way Betmo..and to all our writers who have stuck it out..male AND female..we speak truth to power!!!!!

I remember when the blog was first set up (read about it on betmo’s page) and I remember being a little envious that a great group of girly bloggers were a part of it and I wasn’t. Never one to come into somebody’s backyard without an invitation, I would just visit and read and go away. When I was invited to join the Siren’s, you could have knocked me over with a feather (lil’ ol’ me?). I am as proud as punch to be a part of the wonderful blog and very proud to be associated with all the wonderful folks who blog here!

I bow to your wonderful spirit!

Thank you Dizzy. Thank you for writing here. ;)

Happy Birthday to us. And I have given Sirens an Arte Y Pico Award. Dusty, pick it up at my place, because someone else needs to put it up.
