I saw this offer on a web site. 70% + 20% coupon + 10% savings certificate = 100% of the cost… PLUS free shipping???
Are they going to pay us to take stuff off the shelves?
Wow!
I have noticed lately in a few stores I have shopped in, they are mostly empty, and they are plastered with 60% off & more sale signs.
Wal Mart had a “We will cash your stimulus rebate check for free” promotion, hoping if you have cash in hand in their store, you will buy something.
The “something” people are buying is GAS at crazy high prices– but this week the price at some stations has dropped to the $3.99 mark. People had been cutting back on buying the liquid gold & that dropped the price.
What has happened to all those shoppers?
Maybe they are lined up at their bankrupt banks, trying to get their money, before the FDIC goes bust?
Maybe they are busy signing off on mortgage foreclosures?
Meanwhile the local Goodwill thrift shop was very busy with lots of shoppers.
Signs of the times. Has the US economy burst into a mushroom cloud of flames?

I have been seeing people bringing multiple extra jugs to the gas station. Is there gas hoarding going on?

Why would they be hoarding? We have plenty of gas, the price is just out of fucking site!
Perhaps they are grabbing it before the price goes up? Notice how it goes up like 5-10 cents at a time? Such bullshit.
