We need to restore our credibility and the moral imperative in our own country, before we can try and influence the rest of the world. The 6,000,000,000 of us putting pressure on the environment and resources now will look like the good ol' days in 2050 when there are 9,000,000,000 crushing the planet. Where's the plan there? Sure, everyone can do there part; be green as possible, etc. Keep in mind, though, it's just pissing into the wind if there's no world-wide effort to curb the mass production of everyone's little "miracles".
