Dennis Kucinich delivered a hell of a speech @ the DNC yesterday. Mass Media (the non dish stations, including Public Broadcasting) did not air any of it. The best speech delivered, so far—

Wifey and I switch channels all the time during the convention and it’s hilarious to hear the disconnect emitting from the talking head’s pieholes. I’ve heard them say there’s “no red meat” in the speeches, but they were probably setting up their microphones while Kucinich was speaking.
The Montana governor got about two words out and the commentators on all channels started talking over him like he was selling life insurance. They kept showing Bill Clinton yacking in the ear of the lady next to him -non-stop for like ten minutes. After the speech was over, Olberman gushed about Clinton always giving his rapt attention to every speaker at the convention. What the hell?
I did turn on CSPAN to listen to Schweitzer. Have to admit we didn’t hang too long, but he was no Mark Warner, lol!
On a switch to the infamous Fox channel, Meagan(see my legs?)Kelly commented that there were no Hillary signs like there had been for Michelle Obama the previous night. Ooooh, what a gotcha. When Hillary came on the stage, there must have been 30,000 Hillary signs!
Fascinating stuff for political junkies.
Much of what has been served up @ the DNC has been *pablum* bland & boring.
WTF? It’s not like they don;t have any material to work with re the reckless, lawless torturing repugs.
Kucinich’s speech was just SO right on & most people did not even get to hear it.
A friend wrote to tell me the DNC itself required Dennis to omit the creme de la creme of his speech– figuring America can’t handle the truth. Here is the banished verbiage:
This am Thom Hartmann said the DNC had “vetted” Dennis’ speech of one
line: he had written,
“and when they leave it should be in handcuffs, facing 10 – 20″ (years).
But the wimpy “ever so cautious” Dems were afraid to let
him say that.
They are lacking bark AND bite- they need to step up.
Even PBS omitted Hillary’s recognition of Michelle O & Biden…. edited so smoothly, I’d have never known had I not been channel surfing.
I hear CSPAN is broadcasting without talking heads. How refreshing… but even then the DNC is editing what we hear.
The DNC will have to change it’s name to DMA- Democracy my Ass.
