KO and Tweety out as anchors for Election Coverage

September 7, 2008 by Dusty

Well shit, HuffPo is reporting:

MSNBC tried a bold experiment this year by putting two politically incendiary hosts, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, in the anchor chair to lead the cable news channel’s coverage of the election.

That experiment appears to be over.

After months of accusations of political bias and simmering animosity between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, the channel decided over the weekend that the NBC News correspondent and MSNBC host David Gregory would anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night. Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.

I won’t be shedding a tear over Tweety but KO…man, that hurts.

What’s really ironic is they’re promoting David Gregory to take over. Every time Gregory comes on, I turn the channel. If it wasn’t for Karl Rove, Gregory would be the dullest person on TV.

David is as interesting as watching paint dry..and I guess I will be checking out CNN or Cspan’s coverage in the future.

Gregory is a tool..That he got a show on MSNBC amazes me.

It’s not that I dislike David Gregory and Brian Williams as people; they just never say anything interesting and they take a really long time to do it. They make Tom Brokaw sound like Chick Hearn describing a Jerry West steal and break-away lay-up.
