The Fault Behind The High Cost Of Low Living
September 25, 2008 by Alien Trucker
While watching the POTUS try to sooth the taxpayers last night I had quite a few mixed feelings. It started with the revulsion I get whenever I see the fool on my teevee. It makes me happy that I only have to see him as my “leader” for 4 more months. It makes me angry he ever got the chance to steal the 2000 election in Florida and in Ohio four years later. It makes me sick to know I live surrounded by people who support him and would like to see his McClone continue his devestating policies for 4 or 8 more years. All in all it depresses me that our childrens grand children will be paying for the Bush administrations follies in the years to come.
When I started wtching the idiot talk I was amazed at how he returned to the Texas Governor way of presenting himself. No fumbling “country dumb” acting last night. He actually looked like he knew what he was talking about. Reading from the teleprompter he seemed like he finally had gotten his shit together. The boozey destroyed brain dry drunk babbling was gone and a statesman like person was standing there for the first time in years. The puppeteers had done a good job this time.
Then the words came seeping in. The economy is in shambles and he was trying to be the hero explaining why it is that way. The words sounded pretty and the reasons had nothing to do with the administration and their fuck-ups. At least not according to his wonderful speech.
He blamed everyone except the formerly Republican Majority Congress that eased regulations for the mega rich corporations to screw the taxpayers so they could make money then collapse….with the multi million dollar severance pay in their Swiss bank accounts. (you don’t think they are putting their money in U.S.Banks do you?)
Foreign investors were the first people he blamed. You know…if they hadn’t been so eager to make money our economy would still be in great shape. Then he blamed the American people for wanting to live the dream of having a house of their own to call home. If they would have sat back and not gotten into those “great deals” of little down and instant move in well, the foreigners wouldn’t have wanted to invest here. I mean…after all…why should the regular middle class family want anything more than just to pay rent to the megarich slumlords.
So once again the man lied to the people of the world. And he expects us to pay for the already rich money men to get and stay richer while the average Joe and Jane have to live homeless and broke with destroyed credit.
So while the rich 538 members of the Senate and House of Representatives make the policies for us the hundreds of millions of our population have to pay for their official fuckups. That seems pretty unfair. 700billion times unfair. I think it is past time for real change. Not just the babbling of the presidential candidates.
So I guess in the end it really is the American peoples fault our system is on the brink of collapse. They didn’t stand in the streets and demant the overthrow of the stolen elections 8 years ago. They kept re-electing the incumbent good ol’ boy fools into congress. They stand by going to their jobs and paying into the system without demanding accountability.
It really is our fault.
