Caught the last couple of minutes of Keith’s comment last night during a commercial in the game. It had my eyes tearing-up.
Listen, religious folk, it’s bad enough you think your god dictated a book to a disparate group of earthmen, but using it as a vehicle to excuse your homophobia deserves damnation.
Another heartfelt, brilliant commentary from Keith last night. When are the knuckleheads who were for Prop 8 going to understand that this country was founded on the principal of separation of church and state. This is supposed to be a country who’s values are live and let live.
So much of Fundamentalism is based upon fear (of the Devil or anything they are told that is a manifestation of the Devil), and ignorance. Fear and ignorance drove Prop 8, to what end, other than to make some of our people second class citizens, to make out one segment of the population as loathsome and beneath contempt, in order to prop up the weak willed and fearful.
When will human beings all learn that their own self value is not achieved by the diminishing of any other human’s self value.
when you are fearful, you are fearful, you are incapable of having an open mind, in who oppose What the hell have we been doing for the past five years other than fighting religious fundamentalists that would like to see us all dead because we have different values,
Now there are widespread reports of the segment being dubbed over by last weeks Richard Lewis babbling on the later showing of Countdown . The bigots are censoring everything.
