The agreement calls for Rove and Miers, Bush’s top political adviser and White House counsel, to testify before the House Judiciary Committee in closed depositions “under the penalty for perjury,” said House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers, D-Mich. The committee says it also might call the two for public testimony.

Like someone said on MSNBC last night, it’ll just be a bunch of “Not to the best of my recollection”s.
I find myself feeling a bit sorry for Harriet Miers. It really takes the description of being-in-over-one’s-head to a new level. Selecteing her for any task was Bush’s blunder, but to paraphrase Clint Eastwood, a woman needs to know her limitations. She must have thought the act of Bush picking her suddenly bestowed her with qualifications she never knew she had. Isn’t she to be pitied?
Pity? Perhaps, but still…the bitch needs to pay the piper..
I am hoping she inadvertently lets something slip.
i doubt she will. she has lawyers of her own. the one who told congress that he wasn’t ‘a potted plant’- well, sir stanford hired him. rove is going to wiggle and lie and obstruct because hey- he and cheney cooked the whole thing. i just hope they can get him and gonzo on the attny gate thing and the crooked voting thing, and the iraq war thing…… something- anything. miers i could give two shits about. cheney, rummy, rovie and gonzo. and throw yoo in for good measure. war crimes and crimes against humanity.
at the very least, rovie will be on record somewhere. for all the good it did with gonzo.
