human trafficking in civilized america

250,000 sex slaves a year are imported—- to america every year from eastern europe. that isn’t counting the illegally held au pairs, maids, nannies, farm workers, etc. let me repeat- 250,000 women a year are being used as sex slaves in america. i guess i wonder what exactly america does stand for. we are supposed to be the best democracy on the planet. we are supposed to welcome downtrodden folks from other places into our free bosoms because we know that they simply want the freedom to live their lives to the fullest. we are supposed to stand for believing in the equality of every human being on the planet- that each and every american can work hard and be whatever and whoever they want to be. how can we call ourselves americans if it’s all a big fat lying facade?
we either get back to the reason that this country was founded in the first place- or we drop the lies and confront who and what we have become.
