yep.  why i don’t read news every day- well, the stories suck and people suck and nobody is doing a whole lot to fix anything- and we all just kind of throw up our hands and look at each other.  we have decent journos getting shitcanned for more right wing rhetoricizers- and the msm gloms onto a story and never lets go.  look, i am pulling for the iranian folks and i am sad that the air france airbus went down and all the folks are dead- but let’s look at what is happening now that doesn’t get reported with any consistency:

right wingers compare iran protests to tea parties- anyone else but me see the irony of these jackholes likening themselves to the ‘axis of evil?’

most of us already know this but america is committing economic suicide- with the full complicity of our ‘representatives’ in government at all levels

onward christian soldiers!!! any wonder that there is astronomical alcoholism and suicides amongst our soldiers?

the jobless rate keeps climbing; the health care reform has stalled; homeland security has not stopped the illegal shenanigans; and the polar ice caps are not fixable.

and i get to hear right wing talking heads bloviating night and day in the 24 hour news cycles about how horrible life is under the dumbocrats and i get to read about how a right wing senator can’t keep his dick in his pants- or at home, apparently.  come on.  really?  really?
