Matthew Hoh Resigns.

Matthew Hoh, the Political Officer in the Foreign Service and the Senior Civilian Representative for the U.S. Government in Zabul Province, resigned his duties because of the war in Afghanistan. Please read the resignation letter here. It makes the same argument most of us have thought about or firmly held about this war.

I was impressed by Mr. Hoh’s adament refusal to play ball with the administration/warmongers. I would love to be able to pin down a few of the respondents who said things like “Even though I disagree with his portrayal of the situation here, I respect his decision and his great work here and in Iraq…” and ask them to explain why Hoh is wrong and putting more of our irritants(soldiers) will help matters.
