Our F*ckwit of the week.

Paul Shirley is an athlete. More precisely he was an athlete. He now writes for ESPN and occasionally DeadSpin, a sports blog/site that I frequent.
Paulie is also an ignorant fuckwad and our Fuckwit of the Week. If you read his little OpEd I think you just might agree with me.His glaring lack of knowledge regarding Haiti, and their history, is quite obvious. Below is a short piece of his rant:
I haven’t donated a cent to the Haitian relief effort. And I probably will not.
I haven’t donated to the Haitian relief effort for the same reason that I don’t give money to homeless men on the street. Based on past experiences, I don’t think the guy with the sign that reads “Need You’re Help” is going to do anything constructive with the dollar I might give him. If I use history as my guide, I don’t think the people of Haiti will do much with my money either.
As a general rule, most sports nuts aren’t that into politics, current events or anything outside the sphere of sports.
I also agree with most of the points in this article, which tears down his laughable and pathetic logic. The site is a sports blog.
People have been hounding ESPN (Paulie writes there) to shitcan his worthless ass.
So they did. Here is their statement on it. It’s short and somewhat sweet.
Don’t let the door hit ya in the ass there Paulie!

Is from, or is he living in, South Carolina?
I’m sure he’d be welcome.
Having always lived in California, it’s great to have a state to look down on without remorse.
Nah, he has no ties to SC..except for being an ignorant white guy without a fucking clue.
I still hang my head in shame re: Cali’s passage of the homophobe agenda last election.
Dusty´s last blog ..Our F*ckwit of the week.
It takes your breath away to realize there are so many people without gay friends or relatives. It’s even worse to think about how many people voted yes that do have gay friends or relatives. Damn right scary to think of those that cloaked themselves in their religion, however weird their’s is, to justify their vote.
The list goes on: a coalition of bedfellows that would probably go against each other in the same way if given the opportunty provided by California’s proposition system.
Have I mentioned voter-approved bond issues lately? Hey, wait a minute: South Carolina – here I come!
Robb, well said m’dear. Speak it Brotha!
And besides, Shirley was a Phoenix Sun: Laker fodder….
I hate the Lakers Robb.
I never got to see Elgin play, but I grew up with Jerry and Wilt. My dad and I used to stay up for the 11:30 replays even though he faced work and I school in the morning. Saw West make that half court + stunner to send the game into overtime.
However, I could never be the diehard fan I was without the resurrection of Chick Hearn. The only one that comes close is Marv Albert. The rest of the herd only know a few variations of “knocks it down.” They should study the master or leave the sport.
I did see Elgin Baylor, West and Wilt. I did appreciate the Lakers back then.
