No Wonder That Book Is Such a “Hot” Item

You all know that I’ve called Caribou Barbie stupid many, many times. And I stand by that, but I think I’m going to have to amend it just a little. She IS, in fact, a savant of sorts.

I have to hand it to Caribou Barbie-there are no equals to her when it comes to thinking up ways to separate rubes (sometimes known to Rushpubliscums as “donors”) from their money.

While she was Mayor of Wasilla, she got enough materials thrown her way to put up a mansion, cheap. During the Rushpubliscum Presidential campaign, the RNC gave her a credit card, which she melted down, as she was running it through the swipers at Nieman-Marcus and Sak’s Fifth Avenue at about 4 times the speed of sound.

Caribou Barbie “got it.” She figured out Alaska was small potatoes. The REAL money was down in the lower 48, where the dupes were practically begging to be fleeced. All it takes is a lot of lying and a little sleight of hand, both of which Caribou Barbie does better than almost anyone else.

Look at how she’s prospered! No more crummy building material payoffs for this gal. She quit that stupid Governor’s job and headed south, dragging along a few steamer trunks to load up with the proceeds of her con games. And what con games they are! First, she had someone else write a book for her and collected a multimillion-dollar “advance” for “her” troubles. Then, she got FOX “News” to give her a slot on their network, undoubtedly with some remuneration. She’ll also be relieving the “teabaggers” of $100,000.00 in the near future.

But you know, even with all that going on, Caribou Barbie’s best con game of all is her PAC. As you can see here, she’s figured out how to get it to pay her without just sticking her hand in the till.That PAC could continue to pay her long after her other schemes lose steam. Actually, we KNOW it will, because the idiots donating to it all have their blood down in their extremities, rather than up in their brains (and I use that term loosely.)

Yeah, this one’s just a reg’lar old hockey mom, yessirree. Just like you and me.

Sarah Palin’s political action committee has spent more than $63,000 to buy copies of her autobiography as “books for fund-raising donor fulfillment” and paid her publisher $20,000 to send a photographer and aide on her book tour.

The payments went to Harper Collins, publisher of “Going Rogue,” and in some cases to HSP Direct, a fund-raising company that serves conservative politicians and pundits. The payments were first reported by ABC News.

SarahPac, which raised $2.1 million in 2009, spent an additional $8,000 on colorful bookmarks designed by a Nashville firm.

The former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee is due another payday this week at the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville. Palin is being paid $100,000 as the convention’s keynoter.

Reps Michelle Bachmann, R-Minn., who was to introduce Palin, withdrew from the convention last week, as did Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn. The two congresswomen backed off amid protests from various tea party organizations over the for-profit outfit running the event.

“Oh, you betcha I’m going to be there,” Palin, a pundit on Fox News, told Fox’s Greta Van Susteren.

“I’m going to speak because there are people traveling from many miles away to hear what the tea party movement is all about and what that message is that should be received by our politicians in Washington. I’m honored to get to be there.”

Oh, we know what the movement is all about. For Caribou Barbie, at least. If Caribou Barbie’s involved, we know there’s a big payoff coming. Always.

I’m not sure what “message” she’s thinking the Washington pols should be receiving, though. Could it be, “YOU ARE SUCKERS!!!”, perhaps? None of them, for all of their corruption, can hold a candle to the Queen of the Grifters.
