I am so happy the Iraqis are refusing to sign “deals” that don’t include timelines for an exit. What the hell kind of deals for prolonged war profiteering might Bush be trying to cut, as his presidential clock runs down?

In the post-September 11 world, Al Qaeda is no longer the central organizing force that aids or authorizes terrorist attacks or recruits terrorists. Rather, it serves as an inspiration for individuals and other groups who have branded themselves with the Al Qaeda name.

The US and Iraq have been in ‘negotiations’ for awhile now over a permanent..cough..pact. A pact that will govern how and what we are allowed to do within Iraq’s borders.
