In Teddy’s name, they will get it done tomorrow.

December 23, 2009 by Dusty · Leave a Comment

healthcare_now_posterI just watched the Senators wax poetic about the healthcare bill they are about to pass. Harkin did bring a lump to my throat when he spoke about Teddy and his assistant that still carried the torch for healthcare for all after Teddy died.

I do not call it a ‘reform’ bill because it does so fucking little in that regard. I still consider the bulk of it to be corporate welfare for the insurance companies. Fucking bendejo’s  do not need another handout..they have more than their share of those sumbitches.

Invoking Teddy’s name really kinda pisses me off too..this bill is that shitty.

So kiss my hairy ass you bunch of fucking bought bastards. You do not honor Kennedy’s legacy with this friggin bill. Not even close.

Where did this man leave his balls?

December 7, 2009 by Dusty · 4 Comments

Obama by pulitzer winner Damon WinterWhen he went to The Hill Sunday..he did not take them with him, as he only chatted up the Democratic Caucus.

WTF? Did you leave them in your other pants? The Dog ate them?

I know our methods are incredibly different, the Big O and I, but for the love of Christ dude..give those fuckwits a hard time when you make the effort to address their sorry asses. Slap them around a bit. They are the worst set of elected representatives this side of Tom Delay.

Ok, maybe not Hot Tub Tommy, but still..wtf, rip em a new asshole ok? The Rethugs are all on the same page, or nearby it..yet the Dem’s all go off half-cocked and in six different directions.

Fuckers need to be herded like the dumbass bovines they are. The lobbyists have sure friggin figured it out, why the fuck can’t you dude?

He called it a ‘pep talk’. Give me an effin break. Those sumbitches don’t need a pep talk, they need a sharp object rammed under their fingernails, and a set of electrodes attached to their balls.

The Big O’s speechifying on Afghanistan

December 2, 2009 by Dusty · 4 Comments

bulshit meterWhere do you think his speech was on the Bullshit Meter? Off the fucking charts.

Well, what did you think of his plan man? Same shit, different President.

Did ya think he sold it to the majority of Americans? Oh hell no.

Do ya think it’s a war worth fighting for another eight fucking years? Not only no but fuck no.

Do ya think he sounded like an eloquent used car salesman who is trying like hell to sell ya a piece of shit yet he makes it sound like the best deal out there? Yep, that sums it up.

I know he told us that he would continue to fight this war, but for the love of Buddha..why prop up another fucked up regime with billions borrowed from China? Don’t ask me I am just a pissed off voter..nothing more and nothing less. And there are millions just like me, Dems, Repubs and Indy’s alike.

Rightwing nutters are using bogus ‘facts’. No surprise there right?

October 17, 2009 by Dusty · 1 Comment

Republican-2006.02.09-05.31.47

Over at TomCat’s blog, he has a post up about the rightwing nutters and their hate machines. Most progressives are aware of all the astroturf bullshittery that is passing for healthcare reform discussion lately.

Let me be clear..my opinion is that the right has a lock on hate speech and violence. When a nutter in the comments section was asked to produce a link to prove her point that there are just as many violence-prone haters on the left, she coughed up a link to a rightwing blog of the catholic variety.

When you google the name of the individual that she was trying to say was beaten up by a bunch of liberal haters who belong to the union SEIU, Kenneth Gladney, no charges were ever filed against anyone in connection with the supposed beat down of the African-American conservative. There was even a video shot by rightwingers! Oh My!!!

Media Matters has been following this ‘incident’ since it supposedly happened. What’s really pathetic is that the rightwing nutters have taken this as one of their cause celebre and frankly it stinks to high heaven with lies and obfuscation on their part, including a YouTube video. From a Media Matters article on this incident:

The problem was when you watched the clip, viewers saw Gladney get pulled to the ground before he popped right back up less than two seconds later. Viewers saw Gladney walking around after the incident without an obvious scratch on his body, and in no apparent pain.

But here’s where the correction comes in and I’m not sure how Barrone is going to avoid this one. He wrote that the black conservative victim in Missouri was 65-years-old. (Oh, the humanity!) In fact, Gladney, according to the St. Louis Post, is 38 years old. Barone was only off by 27 years. And yes, it’s a big deal becuase the supposed age of the (supposed) victim is supposed to send Barone’s readers into shock. (They’re beating up seniors!)

But within hours, and then days, the tale improved greatly. Soon Gladney showed up in a wheelchair at a right-wing rally thrown on his behalf. Why? because he was viciously beaten!!! Or something.

So yeah, the whole tale has been vastly improved over time in order to suit the right-wing mantra of how violent liberals are. And sure, if Barone wants to peddle that nonsense in his column, he’s free to do so. And Lord knows he’s peddled worse junk over the years.

It really chaps my ass when the nutters employ the usual Rethug tactics to smear the left. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.  They have learned from the best, their elected officials. Even during the darkest hours of Bush43’s presidency, No One from the Left was calling for his death or inciting violence on the scale we see the rightwing nutters doing since Obama was elected.

The apple didn’t fall far from the tree. The Liz Cheney edition

October 14, 2009 by Dusty · Leave a Comment

Liz cheneyLizard Cheney really is her daddy’s girl. She can spew bullshit and bravado like her daddy and then some. All with a straight face.

She has created “Keep America Safe”, a one-stop extravaganza for all things neocon. From Foreign Policy:

Neoconservative foreign-policy heavyweights Liz Cheney and William Kristol are at the heart of the new initiative, called the Keep America Safe campaign. Their first Web video attacks Obama’s decisions on altering the plan for missile-defense sites in Eastern Europe, the Justice Department’s decision to look into interrogation abuses by the CIA, and the pending decision of whether or not to escalate in Afghanistan.

No really, Liz is a heavyweight in the foreign policy area? Who knew? And Billy Kristol, who can’t find his ass with both hands, is also a co-founder? Holy fuckamoly..

Ben Smith at Politico has all the 411 on this bunch of nutters that just won’t go away:

Keep America Safe will focus on issues like troop levels, missile defense, detainees, and interrogation, according to Liz Cheney, who is heading the group along with Weekly Standard editor William Kristol and Debra Burlingame, the hawkish sister of an American Airlines pilot killed in the September 11 attacks.

The group, incorporated as a 501 (c ) 4 non-profit, launches its fundraising drive online Tuesday with a web video accusing Obama of failing to back up his “tough talk” and with a website aimed to provide an organizing tool for hawks.

*snip*

The group’s mechanics are largely a product of former campaign aides to Senator John McCain: Michael Goldfarb, now a Weekly Standard blogger, is an adviser to the group; its executive director is McCain war room chief Aaron Harison, and the video was produced by Justin Germany, the McCain aide who produced a campaign video titled, “The One,” which mocked Obama as a messianic figure.

They are fund-raising..oh goodie! This means they will lie and obfuscate their collective asses off. All for the almighty dollar…well, it used to be almighty. Get ready folks, the spin machine is warming up!

Watch for Boss Limbaugh to talk this new group up..it’s a no-brainer.

Harriet rats out Rove?

August 11, 2009 by Dusty · Leave a Comment

Oh my…this is juicy. From McClatchy:roves-cream-of-bullshit

Karl Rove and other top officials in the George W. Bush White House were deeply involved in pushing for the ouster of several U.S. attorneys, notably including one in New Mexico, according to testimony and e-mails that the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee released Tuesday.

Sworn testimony from former White House Counsel Harriet Miers revealed that Rove considered former U.S. Attorney David Iglesias of New Mexico a “serious problem” and “wanted something done about it” because of complaints about politically sensitive investigations that Iglesias had mounted. Miers said that she couldn’t recall whether Rove specifically demanded Iglesias’ firing during a 2006 conversation, but Iglesias was fired later that year.

Harriet’s statements directly contradict Rover’s. Again from McClatchy:

In sworn closed-door testimony to the House Judiciary Committee in July, Rove continued to distance himself from the decision to push out certain prosecutors. He recalled a proposal to fire some or all of them in late 2004, but denied that he’d come up with a plan to have it done and rejected the suggestion that he had a direct role.

“My view was this is a decision that had to be made at the Justice Department,” Rove said, according to a transcript of his sworn testimony.

Rover is so full of shit, his eyes better be brown. We can now read the transcript of Rover’s sworn testimony with the House Judiciary Committee here and here(pdf). You can also read the emails frm the White House and the RNC about firing the USA’s  at the McClatchy link at the top of this post.

I will be reading the transcripts and emails for the next couple of days..whilst my friggin tv is being shipped to Chino for a replacement tv.

Are you stressed about the ’stress test’?

May 7, 2009 by Dusty · 1 Comment

You aren’t? Well shit, the banks aren’t either! scream

The ‘too big to fail’ banks know the government will give them what they need to stay afloat. After all, according to Dick Durbin they run Congress.  But..what if they are wrong on that? From the NYT:

But that does not necessarily mean the banks will get that money from the government. The findings, to be released Thursday by the Obama administration, suggest that the rescue money that Congress has already approved will be enough to fill the gaps. If so, the big bailouts for the banks may be over.

All of this assumes that the economy does not take another turn for the worse, which would result in even more losses at the banks – and the need for even more money to prop them up. But hopes that the tests will be a turning point in this financial crisis electrified Wall Street on Wednesday and some overseas markets the next day. Financial shares soared, lifting the broader American stock market to its highest level in four months. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 101.63, or 1.2 percent, to close at 8,512.28 Wednesday, while Japan’s Nikkei index rose more than 4 percent by midday Thursday.

Now, I could give a rat’s ass how the ‘markets’ reacted. I am really friggin tired of seeing the Dow Jones on the bottom of the screen on MSNBC all fucking day. If you have any stocks at this point in time..you can afford to wait for the upswing. It will come you know..but it might be awhile.

Did you read Timmy Geithner’s OpEd? No? Oh well, just step right up and click that linky folks!

What? You don’t give a shit how Timmy sells us another boatload of bullshit? Even if this time it’s the stress test and his version of recent history. Ok, you are forcing me to post some of his fuckery here:

The president came into office facing a deep recession and a damaged financial system. Credit had dried up, forcing businesses to lay off workers and defer investment. Families were finding it difficult to borrow to finance a new house, buy a car or pay college tuition. Without action to restore lending, we faced the prospect of a much deeper and longer recession.

President Obama confronted these problems with dramatic action to address the housing crisis and to restart credit markets that are responsible for roughly half of all business and consumer lending. The administration also initiated a program to provide a market for legacy loans and securities to help cleanse bank balance sheets. These programs are helping to repair lending channels that do not rely on banks, and will contribute to fixing the banking system itself.

However, the banking system has also needed a more direct and forceful response. Actions by Congress and the Bush administration last fall helped bring tentative stability. But when President Obama was sworn into office in January, confidence in America’s banking system remained low.

Because of concern about future losses, and the limited transparency of bank balance sheets, banks were unable to raise equity and found it difficult to borrow without government guarantees. And they were pulling back on lending to protect themselves against the possibility of a worsening recession. As a result, the economy was deprived of credit, and this caused severe damage to confidence and slowed economic activity.

It seems to me that Timmy explains things like he is talking to a ten year old. I am not ten years old. I do not need for Timmy to tell me a ’story’.

I know what happened and when thanks to PublicIntegrity.org and ProPublica.org. I know how crappy things were when Obama took over the oval office Jan 21, 2009. I know that the Obama administration is just as good as Bush’s was..when it comes to explaining how they spend our money.

Don’t condescend to me buddy. It pisses me the hell off, and frankly, doesn’t make you look very good either.

Well this is f’d up…

May 5, 2009 by Dusty · Leave a Comment

fucktardThey might be doing it for publicity, but any way you look at it..destroying new  homes when millions are homeless and/or losing their homes is pretty ugly and ironic as hell. From the LAT:

Curtis Forrester moved into a brand-new house in Victorville last week, but there was little time to enjoy the Jacuzzi and designer kitchen. He was there only to see it destroyed.

Just a few days after his arrival, the two-story residence and three other luxurious model homes were crushed and hauled off for scrap, the latest fallout from Southern California’s real estate crash.

The homes were part of a planned 16-unit project in this community 100 miles north of Los Angeles. The Texas bank that owns the failed development decided to demolish the houses, a cheaper alternative to completing and selling them.

Forrester was hired to keep thieves away and help sell off the fixtures. “All my life I’ve been building things,” said the 59-year-old construction worker. “It’s kind of fun tearing them down.”

The Victorville demolition is one of the most dramatic ends to a bad bet made during the housing boom, but abandoned developments have become an all-too-common sight in California. Nearly 250 residential developments totaling 9,389 homes have been halted across the state, according to one research firm.

I have seen the abandoned projects all up and down Cali, both commercial and residential. San Diego seemed to have the most, or the most obvious ones. Like huge skeletons, they stand in decrepit condition, half finished or almost finished. They just walk away and take the loss I guess. Sad state of affairs in our country. Kern county is overwhelmed by this housing market bitchslap to our economy.

There is now a website that is taking orders for folks that will contribute to Sean’s favorite charity if he follows through on his own statement to be waterboarded for charity. It offers different options for your donations. Its a cute little site with phrases like the following:

Your participation does not constitute an obligation on your part, it is only a statement of your interest in donating to an event such as Sean Hannity growing a pair and getting Waterboarded for Charity.

Ain’t that cute? I love it! Check it out if you are so inclined..Sean will of course never follow through on this..he doesn’t have the stones.

roves-cream-of-bullshitKrazy Karl Rove. This jackass of mythic proportions has the audacity to state in his Wall Street Journal OpEd and on Faux Noise that Obama has…cough..ethical problems, by accusing the Obama administration of working with MoveOn and Americans United for Change on ads they created and ran.

Does this fuckwit have Alzheimer’s? He single-handidly politicized every department and office in the Bush administration for eight years. From ThinkProgress:

In a Wall Street Journal op-ed and on Fox News this morning, former Bush political adviser Karl Rove accused the Obama White House of “ethical problems” in its “hard-nosed push” to “pressure Congress to adopt the president’s budget.” “The degree of direction the White House is exerting over a lobby campaign” is “unprecedented,” claimed Rove, referring to ad campaigns by Americans United for Change and MoveOn.org.When Fox’s Bill Hemmer asked Rove how this was different from the “contact with outside groups” he had during the Bush administration, Rove replied that “it’s fine to say the White House is focused on getting our message out to these members,” but that it’s another thing to “sit down and coordinate on ad copy.” Watch it:

And here is Countdown’s piece on Rovers bullshittery:

Mark Karlin gets it right.

March 5, 2009 by Dusty · 6 Comments

msmHug and a hat tip to the marvelous TexBetsy over at Tengrain’s place for this link. Go…read it, then watch the video. For those of you too lazy to click the link…here is the best part:

As part of my series on the destructive corporate mainstream media, it’s important to remember that cable television holds a special place. After all, that is where the most pernicious and dishonest propaganda station disguised as “news” resides: FOX.

But in one 8 1/2 minute segment on “The Daily Show” broadcast of March 4, Jon Stewart eviscerated another cable station, CNBC, as a shill for Wall Street, hyping a failing system to the detriment of its viewer/investors. What Stewart uncovered (as he so often does) is that the so-called mainstream news doesn’t really generally cover news or investigate: it is a cheerleader for the oligarchy, cheerily misleading the average American into an economic ambush.

CNBC, as Stewart so devastatingly exposes, consistently boosted the Wall Street pirates without exposing what any reporter close to the situation must have known. Through a combination of fantastical stock market theories (fundamental values don’t matter; it’s just the perception of a stock that counts), suck-up interviews with CEOs of failing companies, affirmations of robust financial health for riverboat gambling financial empires that were about to collapse and become multi-billion dollar welfare recipients of our money – and more boosterism – CNBC (with some rare actual reporter exceptions) has become an advertorial for the looting, unregulated, “default swap,” hedge fund, con artist, gambling ways that have destroyed the fundamentals of the heart of our financial system.

In fact, we urge you to watch the entire March 4th Daily Show because in a half an hour, Stewart provided one of the most concise primers of the Wall Street mess we’ve yet seen. Because unless you drill down mighty deep into the mainstream corporate press, it is hard to understand how the ushering in of the Reagan era of de-regulation led to major financial institutions playing craps with our economy to the tune of what is now hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars in so-called “toxic assets.”

What is a toxic asset? Essentially a Wall Street gambling debt.

But when you lose money in Vegas, taxpayers don’t bail you out while you get a bonus, unlike Wall Street, where ushering a nation into an economic trash can is rewarded, not punished.

Stewart had as his guest an old style competent New York Times reporter, Joe Nocera, who could actually explain the A.I.G. scandal (and why no one is being criminally prosecuted begs a lot of questions, but he didn’t say that, we are). Or should we say, Stewart – in his passionate common sense way – put the A.I.G. disaster into terms that anyone but a dittohead could understand?

Once again, Stewart showed that stations like CNBC and most of the financial reporting community were not disclosing the real news – the impending implosion of Wall Street – but were essentially acting as PR representatives for the negligent and perhaps criminal financial companies that hurt the average American far more economically than any piddly tax cut can rectify.

I have always said Wall Street is nothing more than legallzed gambling..and our tax dollars are now subsidizing it.

Poo Pie

October 21, 2008 by Utah Savage · Leave a Comment

It’s lets get dirty time in the political cycle. The Republicans are calling Obama names: Socialist, Communist, Liberal... Oh the horror! I just saw a clip of a campaign stop for McCain with him saying “Obama wants to take your slice of the pie and give it to someone else”. Boo! Hiss! Boo! “I want to grow the pie.” Grow the Pie? You dumb old fart, you think pie grows? Ask any woman in small town America, the real America, the America of real Americans who are like you, how to grow a pie and she will bust up laughing. A pie gets made. And before a pie gets made someone has to earn the money to buy the ingredients, which probably entails a shopping trip, which requires gas for the car, assuming that the Repo-man hasn’t already repo’ed it. But once all the ingredients are assembled, someone with a certain skill in pie making will have to put that pie together, bake it in an oven, using either electricity or gas to heat it. Then that pie will disappear faster than it could ever be put together. Turn your back for an instant and that pie will disappear into the mouths of all pie lovers in close proximity to that freshly baked pie. But I think that MCCain and Palin are assembling a poo pie, and it does seem to be growing. John Sydney doesn’t like to lose, though he ought to be used to it by now. But since it all seems to be slipping away, he and his Killa from Wasilla are getting ready for some poo-pie flinging. Duck!!! Incoming!

The POW and Barracuda show comes to an end..

September 6, 2008 by Fran · 1 Comment

Happily, the RNC convention came to a close. For the most part it was damage control. First Mother Nature had her say & threw a hurricane on opening day. No one is going to forget the awful images and memories of the Katrina catastrophic disaster enhanced by the Bush administration incompetence.
Cindy McCain & Laura Bush actually stood in front of the mostly empty convention hall, and said ” it’s time to take off our Republican hats, and put on our American hats” and help hurricane victims. How’s that for a snapshot of a mindset? They must have been wearing their Republican hats during Katrina.
Palin was all over the map. Was she the holier-than-thou respect my daughter’s privacy persona. Sister Palin would have us bow to her pro-life choices and ask, no demand we respect their privacy, while she & the republican would destroy our ability to make our own personal choices. Palin opposes abortion, even in the case of rape.

Then we saw pit bull Palin. The gun in each hand, Annie Oakley persona. She’s a rootin’ tootin fighter. But don’t cross her or she will fire you. She had the gall to insult Biden’s 35 year service in the Senate, claiming she had more experience. Palin was 9 years old when Biden became a U.S. Senator.
Palin showed us some bitchy snark, and in her attempt to put down Obama, just happened to distort the facts, and lots of them. I hope the media does their homework, to let the public & Palin know, she is playing loose with the facts, and call her on it.

I want to add that it is not a double standard to question the wisdom or practicality of having parents of an infant, a 4 month old special needs infant , in the mix of the Executive branch of Government. It is not a double standard for females, it is practical question and an observation- I’ve never seen an infant in ANY executive branch family male or female, because it is both parents choice and responsibility to care for their infant. It’s not fair to the infant, or either parent that such a demanding job would come first over the care of an infant. Palin’s political power hunger trumps the needs of her infant. I’m sick of reading articles saying no one ever questions male politicians parenting skills or obligations. To that, I reply no male politician has sought an Executive Branch position with in infant in tow. Like vinegar & oil, the two don’t mix. Parents with infants have stayed away from the job for good reason. Let’s not leave common sense at the door, trying to make this a gender issue.

The republican party is 93% white. There is not much diversity there. This convention spent waaay too much time retelling the Prisoner of War story of McCain. I have no doubt McCain went through hell. It is an amazing story, and he did an honorable thing, I respect and admire his story. That being said, it really has nothing to do with the problems we face in the here & now, problems HE was a part of creating. The problems we face will not be solved by the minds that created them. ( Ok I am quoting one of my bumper stickers now)… but it’s true. McCain IS a part of the problem. He’s votes with Bush policies 90% of the time. Why would anyone think we would see any different policies or much change at all, with McCain at the helm?

The republicans want to carry on the same agenda. They want to bow to big oil and allow the rape & pillage of our land. Alternative energy to them means Nuclear power plants, nuclear waste dumps, offshore oil drilling, and coal mining. McCain & Palin will support Exxon, Mobile, Chevron & Shell, and the rest of us can go to hell.

McCain said he hates war & wants peace, but that was after he said a 100 year war was fine by him. I’m sure his speech writers & handlers advised him to try to soften his original remark. More damage control ~ their reputation is at an all time low- and they have earned it. Remember George Bush promised to restore integrity to the White House in his presidential campaign. Safe to say his mission failed, miserably.

There was a whole lot of glitz and shallow, sanctimonious rhetoric. What crowd there was, chanted U

  • SA, and at some point, people were yelling “Drill baby Drill”. The republicans are big on enemies, terror, and fear.

The party is so tattered, they decided to keep Bush out- no personal appearance from the sitting president. They beamed him in via sattelite, for a video appearance. He was allegedly immersed in overseeing relief efforts for the hurricane. Truth is he is just a liability.
There was nothing the republican party could have said or done to get my vote.
In summary, their version of “leadership” has been torture.

Text of Sarah Palin’s speech and my response.

September 3, 2008 by Dusty · 6 Comments

You can read it here. I will highlight the horseshit.

And I accept the privilege of serving with a man who has come through much harder missions … and met far graver challenges … and knows how tough fights are won – the next president of the United States, John S. McCain. – POW POW POW POW POW…She mentions it alot..A LOT. It has nothing to do with being capable of running our nation.

Our family has the same ups and downs as any other … the same challenges and the same joys. Sometimes even the greatest joys bring challenge. And children with special needs inspire a special love. – Special needs babies and children also need extra care and attention and you aren’t going to be able to provide that being on the campaign trail. But by all means..use your son to sell yourself Sarah.

I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a “community organizer,” except that you have actual responsibilities. I might add that in small towns, we don’t quite know what to make of a candidate who lavishes praise on working people when they are listening, and then talks about how bitterly they cling to their religion and guns when those people aren’t listening. – People of her small town were in the throes of starting a recall election…so you didn’t know all of them, and you certainly didn’t serve them all well.

The right reason is to challenge the status quo, to serve the common good, and to leave this nation better than we found it. – Since your views on Global Warming are opposite of your main man, John McCain, I highly doubt you can leave this nation in better shape than you found it. By accepting that pork money for the Bridge..you didn’t challenge shit lady.

But we are expected to govern with integrity, good will, clear convictions, and … a servant’s heart. – Unless you don’t like someone..then you attempt to get them fired…and if the head of the Law Enforcement division balks at that idea..you shitcan him as well..hows that for integrity?

I came to office promising major ethics reform, to end the culture of self-dealing. And today, that ethics reform is the law. – TrooperGate again comes to mind..tsk tsk.

Senator McCain also promises to use the power of veto in defense of the public interest – and as a chief executive, I can assure you it works. – Unless of course its one of the lobbyists that currently are employed on his campaign or one of their company cohorts…then lets see how Johnny does regarding the cough…public interest.

I told the Congress “thanks, but no thanks,” for that Bridge to Nowhere. If our state wanted a bridge, we’d build it ourselves. – Oh give it a fucking rest lady…YOU KEPT THE MONEY!!! IT WAS PORK FOR CHRISTS SAKE NO MATTER WHAT YOU SPENT IT ON!

And when that deal was struck, we began a nearly forty billion dollar natural gas pipeline to help lead America to energy independence. – Too bad it’s being built by the Canadians eh? So much for American jobs eh?

To confront the threat that Iran might seek to cut off nearly a fifth of world energy supplies … or that terrorists might strike again at the Abqaiq facility in Saudi Arabia … or that Venezuela might shut off its oil deliveries … we Americans need to produce more of our own oil and gas. And take it from a gal who knows the North Slope of Alaska: we’ve got lots of both. – Oh yeah..it will take a minimum of ten years to get that oil and gas into the delivery system and it will only lower prices by cents, not to mention its so small that it will be used up in less than a decade.

But listening to him speak, it’s easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform – not even in the state senate. – John McCain has missed more votes in the Senate than any other senator in history that wasn’t ill..at least Obama was there the majority of the time.

The answer is to make government bigger … take more of your money … give you more orders from Washington … and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world. America needs more energy … our opponent is against producing it. – Bullshit, bullshit and more bullshit. Not even worth itemizing the bullshit in this one folks.

Al Qaeda terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America … he’s worried that someone won’t read them their rights? Government is too big … he wants to grow it. – Yeah, thats right, you think civil rights are a joke, we know..and interestingly enough..people are innocent until evidence is presented against them at a trial. Those big bad Muslims are all guilty of something aren’t they?

The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes … raise payroll taxes … raise investment income taxes … raise the death tax … raise business taxes … and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars. My sister Heather and her husband have just built a service station that’s now opened for business – like millions of others who run small businesses. – The inheritance tax will be restored, not raised for Christs sake. He has no plans to hit small businesses, so unless your fucking sister is making millions off her gas station she has nothing to fear you freak. The rest is total bullshit, Obama isn’t raising shit on middle and lower class Americans.

How are you going to be better off if our opponent adds a massive tax burden to the American economy? Here’s how I look at the choice Americans face in this election. – Yeah, we know..by protecting the corporations tax loopholes. God forbid we actually get the 75% of corporations that paid little or no federal taxes to pay their fucking fair share.

And then there is the idealism of those leaders, like John McCain, who actually do great things. They’re the ones who are good for more than talk … the ones we have always been able to count on to serve and defend America. Senator McCain’s record of actual achievement and reform helps explain why so many special interests, lobbyists, and comfortable committee chairmen in Congress have fought the prospect of a McCain presidency – from the primary election of 2000 to this very day.- With over 100 lobbyists working on his campaign…who the fuck are you kidding woman?

There is only one man in this election who has ever really fought for you … in places where winning means survival and defeat means death … and that man is John McCain. In our day, politicians have readily shared much lesser tales of adversity than the nightmare world in which this man, and others equally brave, served and suffered for their country. It’s a long way from the fear and pain and squalor of a six-by-four cell in Hanoi to the Oval Office. – POW POW POW POW…nothing that prepares him to run our fucking country!

It’s the journey of an upright and honorable man – the kind of fellow whose name you will find on war memorials in small towns across this country, only he was among those who came home. To the most powerful office on earth, he would bring the compassion that comes from having once been powerless … the wisdom that comes even to the captives, by the grace of God … the special confidence of those who have seen evil, and seen how evil is overcome. A fellow prisoner of war, a man named Tom Moe of Lancaster, Ohio, recalls looking through a pin-hole in his cell door as Lieutenant Commander John McCain was led down the hallway, by the guards, day after day.- I will say it again..POW POW POW POW…nothing that prepares him to run our fucking country!

Christ almighty..what a load of hooey!

We Have Met the Enemy, and He is Us.

Bastion of morality, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, told NATO that they better punish them Ruskies or she and George W. Bush will kick sand in everyone’s face. Seriously, in an emergency session of NATO Foreign Ministers, the USA is demanding that NATO punish Russia for its operations in Georgia. Rice said:

“We have to deny Russian strategic objectives, which are clearly to undermine Georgia’s democracy, to use its military capability to damage … and to weaken the Georgian state.”

I feel like I’ve fallen through the looking glass. Has any nation had the balls to tell NATO or any other body of officials We have to deny United States strategic objectives, which are clearly to undermine Middle East democracy, to use its military capability to damage … and to weaken the ENITRE Middle East. Has anyone had the balls to tell the current administration in the USA that they are hypocritical, dangerous megolomaniacs and need to be stopped? I’m embarrassed to be an American, truly. I am embarrassed by the arrogance of the US Government. And I am deeply, deeply terrified at what this administration is capable of doing. Bush is the terrorist. Cheney is the terrorist. To quote Pogo, We have met the enemy, and he is us.
