is it just me?

i continuously get calls for donations from the democratic party in the mail. usually, i just write on the envelope ‘no impeachment=no money’ but i decided to contact someone at headquarters via email. i mean seriously. who in their right mind would donate to the party of pelosi who won’t hold any member of bushco accountable for anything? or reid who won’t cut off funding for the illegal war in iraq? or who woud donate money to fund hillary clinton’s campaign based on innuendo, put downs, and outright lies? not me. i am going to change my affiliation soon (on the downlow i expect to be moving in a few weeks) and i will change it to independent. here is my email to dnc:

“i felt compelled to contact directly after receiving several pleas for donations. i won’t be contributing to the democratic party because i feel that the democratic party has let it’s members down. from the shameful sidestepping on issues like ending funding for the iraq war; to the outright refusal to hold any member of the bush regime accountable for anything; to the shameful display that hillary clinton has put on almost her entire campaign- i am ashamed to be a democrat. as a matter of fact, i am changing my affiliation to independent before the election. the democratic party was given a mandate by the people of this country and it has squandered it by pandering and playing the waiting game for the 2008 elections. i realize that my email means exactly nothing- but i felt that i should let you know.”
