stoking the fire of civil war

apparently, if they can’t buy, threaten or cheat their way into winning elections, they will plant seeds and stoke fires of division in the minds of their minions.  we cannot keep passing this off as politics as usual- democratic headquarters in denver and other places have been broken into and vandalized; acorn offices have been broken into and vandalized; reporters are being heckled and assaulted while trying to cover republican campaign rallies; and the republican right have been pushing for hatred of liberals for decades.  mccain/palin rallies are not anomalies.  we need to quickly become aware that when the democrats take control of the federal government- and probably state and local governments too- that there may be some serious shit.  we need to be aware and yes, fear in some cases, our fellow americans.  this isn’t the america of 20 years ago- or even 10 years ago.  much has happened and we now have mercenary armies patrolling our streets alongside homeland security personnel.  these aren’t your neighborhood cops that you have known for years.  just a friendly warning.

KO and Tweety out as anchors for Election Coverage

September 7, 2008 by Dusty · 3 Comments

Well shit, HuffPo is reporting:

MSNBC tried a bold experiment this year by putting two politically incendiary hosts, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, in the anchor chair to lead the cable news channel’s coverage of the election.

That experiment appears to be over.

After months of accusations of political bias and simmering animosity between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, the channel decided over the weekend that the NBC News correspondent and MSNBC host David Gregory would anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night. Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.

I won’t be shedding a tear over Tweety but KO…man, that hurts.
