Jon Stewart: You can’t spell Gold without God.
December 12, 2009 by Dusty · 2 Comments
Jon Stewart slaps Glenn Beck around a bit. It’s hilarious and fucking sad..all at the same time. But remember…Beck only sold 17 tickets at his Boston showing, so the rightwing nuttery factory isn’t hitting on all cylinders. Thank Gawd.

Jon Stewart on Palin: Spot-friggin-on!
November 21, 2009 by Dusty · Leave a Comment
This is fantastic. Stewart really hits all his marks with his ’special comment’ about Sarah the Impaler.
His best line:
“when you peel back the pretty, shooty layers of the Palin onion, there’s no onion. It’s just a conservative boiler plate mad lib: ‘Freedom is good and taxes are–ooh I need an adjective–how about, I don’t know, silly?’
I love this man.

This broad is out of her friggin mind. No wonder she was pushed out the door of the Corporate-lovin’ bunch of whore’s, The Hudson Institute.
H/T to C&L for having these vid’s up.
These are the uncensored clips folks..enjoy Stewart making his points and Betsy baby ignores him completely and keeps shilling for the extreme right.
Part dos of the interview, again uncensored:

The entire interview can be seen in three parts here. Jon Stewart, as far as I am concerned, was as serious as a heart attack and was a true journalist last night during his interview with Jim Cramer from CNBC. He pointed out time and time again last night, that CNBC is nothing more than a shill for Wall Street and the financial industry, they never do anything negative about the industry or any investigative pieces on the industry. Cramer was apologetic at best and a whiner at worst. Quite a bit of the interview was left on the cutting room floor due to time constraints. But the link above will show you the entire interview uncut. Check out part one and two below.
Jon Stewart said last night, and I believe it to be true…that there are two stock markets…the real one that is dangerous, volatile and basically legalized gambling.. and the one shown us on networks like CNBC, who shamelessly represent only the interests of Wall Street.

Anytime you need a token liberal
Nothin’ but a body to fill a chair
The barest shadow of a person
Alan Colmes is always there.
But all those years of non-existence
Can really run a person down.
Now he’s leaving Hannity forever
Alan, please don’t go!
You’re the only non-douchebag on that show
He’s gone. Bye bye,
Oh why
He was the Tango to his cash
And he’s gone.
Oh why
To the extent
That I hadn’t noticed he was there
But he’s gone.
Oh why
What went wrong?
He’s gone. Bye bye
Oh why?
He was the Laurel to his Hardy
He’s gone
To spend
More time
Not being seen with his family
He’s gone
What went wrong?
Jon Stewart slaps MSNBC around.

It’s funny, and it’s true. Jon Stewart speaks da truth about MSNBC’s pandering to Obama since the election ended. But, that said, I still have it on from sun-up to sun-up to sun-down.
watch it here.

Fresh meat on Sirens..I would like to introduce Trog69..a humorous old coot who is usually spot-on with his assessments of the New World Order. ~ Dusty
I really respect and admire Glenn Greenwald, but I watched him on BloggingHeads.tv debating Anne Marie Cox and I gotta say, he is one sour mofo. Not a
hint of a smile for a solid hour. It really distracted me from focusing on his comments ’cause I kept wanting to tell him to fer Chrissakes, loosen up. thwap’s schoolyard, another blog I really like, has much the same problem. We argued yesterday after he posted about how Jon Stewart should quit kidding around about Iraq, because we Americans (Yeah, he’s a Canadian) are not worked up enough about stopping the war. I might have agreed that perhaps we should watch other programs besides The Daily Show, but to suggest that an Anchorman on a FAKE news show, on the Comedy Channel, should get serious, is a bit much. Thwap has poked the eyes of a whole mess of Righties, nailed them with some real zingers, so I know he’s got a funny bone there, somewhere.
These are two who I admire greatly for their outstanding work for the true progressive movement, and for human rights globally. I just think that, as we see greed and warmongering and are outraged over injustices done to the weak and needy, sometimes ya gotta pull yourself back from the bleak, and try to temper it with some humor.
I have a confession to make. I’ve read many Ann Coulter articles, and laughed. With her, not just at her. She does know how to stick the shiv in, and twist that sucker around a few turns. Yes, she looks like Stretch Armstrong reaching so far out there to tie the Left to all things unholy, but once in a while she does finally catch that damned fly, and it’s a hoot. Ya know what I think? I bet if she knew that a leftie like me laughed, along with the ignoramuses that agree with her, at her skewers of the populist worldview, it’d piss her off a little.
