Matt Taibbi has a way with words. He is always angry and just rips into whomever he is writing about. This time around happens to be about the Congressional Critters we elected in06.
I think he overstates the obvious regarding some of the bs we have had to endure since they turned their backs on ending the war and Impeaching the assholes known as Bush and Cheney. I really got a smile when I read his take on Harry Reid:
Solidifying his reputation as one of the biggest pussies in U.S. political history, Reid explained his decision to refocus his party’s energies on topics other than ending the war by saying he just couldn’t fit Iraq into his busy schedule. “We have the presidential election,” Reid said recently. “Our time is really squeezed.”
Oh yeah..Reid is a pussy of the highest order. Nothing showed that more than his Telco immunity dealings. Wotta tool you are Harry. Next Taibbi sounds the alarm about what we will get in the coming Presidential Election if we aren’t careful:
The story of how the Democrats finally betrayed the voters who handed them both houses of Congress a year ago is a depressing preview of what’s to come if they win the White House. And if we don’t pay attention to this sorry tale now, while there’s still time to change our minds about whom to nominate, we might be stuck with this same bunch of spineless creeps for four more years. With no one but ourselves to blame.
Its a worthwhile read..if you don’t mind getting pissed off. His pov on how the anti-war activists got hosed by the Big Tent Dems should really do the trick:
Rather than use the vast power they had to end the war, Democrats devoted their energy to making sure that “anti-war activism” became synonymous with “electing Democrats.” Capitalizing on America’s desire to end the war, they hijacked the anti-war movement itself, filling the ranks of peace groups with loyal party hacks. Anti-war organizations essentially became a political tool for the Democrats — one operated from inside the Beltway and devoted primarily to targeting Republicans.
What he says next just fried my ass..seriously. He starts clicking off well known, to me anyway, anti-war activists. I actually get daily or weekly emails from all the guys he rips up.

Sometimes, just keeping your mouth shut would be the best way to go, rather than make statements that everybody laughs off before you get them out of your mouth.Why on Earth would Nanny Pelosi think Chimpy would be afraid of her oversight of his activities NOW?!? She’s rolled over for the moronic monkey on just about every issue that’s come before her. Her latest pronouncement would be a side-splitter, if it wasn’t so infuriating.
Christ, I do wish that “Stepnfetchit” Reid and his House enabler would stop the posturing. Those of us who aren’t Chimpletons…… aren’t Chimpletons, and unlike the Chimpletons, we actually take offense when people assume us to be a bunch of stupid sheep, ready to follow along with whatever the official line is. We’re more than aware that Reid and Pelosi are about as likely to actually take a stand for what is right as Chimpy is to show concern for the poor. It just ain’t gonna happen.
