The Legacy of Chimpy/Gopper Klanservatism

December 7, 2007 by Jolly Roger · 5 Comments

We Welcome a new author to Sirens, Jolly Roger from Reconstitution. He doesn’t shy away from speaking his mind which is why I heart him so much-Dusty

Let me beat that dead horse once again, for those who may not have been here for any of my other beatings. The election of 2004 was framed around the issue of “gay marriage” in order to get the Jesusistan wingtards to the polls to keep the moronic monkey installed in office. They, plus the sleazy machinations of J. Kenneth Blackwell in rigging the Ohio election, got the job done. But hating gays is only the tip of the flaming cross.

Those who have been paying attention for longer than 5 minutes know all about the Jesusistan fringe of Gopperdom. They claim to congregate (and vote) out of Christian love, but their street message is an unrelenting tome of hate. They hate women who have abortions (whether or not the abortion is because of rape, or sex with your brother, or to save your life.) The funny thing is, they hate people who wind up on public assistance (nearly all of whom have children) every bit as much as they hate women who have abortions. I suppose that one could conclude that they want to make sure that they never run out of people to hate. But, I digress…

How the Shrub screwed Christmas: NOT

December 2, 2007 by BibleBelted · Leave a Comment

HOW THE SHRUB SCREWED CHRISTMAS: NOT
Based on HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS
by DOCTOR SEUSS ( AKA Theodor Geisel)
Parody Version by BibleBelted, PraetorOne, Matthew5, and DoctorWho

Every Blue
Up in Blue-ville
Loved Christmas a lot
But the Shrub
Who lived South of Blue-ville
Did NOT
The Shrub hated Christmas; and this was a reason
He hated the joy and the whole peaceful season.
It could be perhaps he loved pain and the fright
Or maybe his brain wasn’t working quite right
But I believe that the most likely reason of all
May have been that his conscience was no conscience at all.

But whatever the reason
The soul or his brain
He cursed through December, raising all kinds of Cain
Glaring up from DC with a mean Bushy smirk
He proved to the people that the Shrub was a jerk
Yes he knew every Blue up in Blue-ville above
Was now happily showing the peace and the love

“And they’ve taken my Congress,” he complained in a snit
“They’re praying for peace, they are so full of shit.”
Then he clawed with Bush talons, crazily drumming
“Stop democracy now, keep the freedom from coming.”

Bush vetos water bill that would help NOLA and CA.

November 2, 2007 by Dusty · Leave a Comment

The Art of Mark BryanFrom the LA Times we get this ‘wonderful’ news..

President Bush delivered his threatened veto of a $23-billion water bill Friday, but Congress is virtually certain to reverse it in the first override of a Bush veto.
And Bush and the Democratic-controlled Congress are moving closer to a federal budget showdown that could result in more vetoes.

The House and Senate are expected to move swiftly next week to override Bush’s veto of a bill loaded with water-related projects sought by members of both parties, from shoring up California’s levees to protecting the Gulf Coast from hurricanes.

In a statement accompanying his veto, Bush said, “This bill lacks fiscal discipline.”

I almost bit a hole in my lip to keep from laughing at the last line..fiscal discipline? WTF does this guy know about fiscal discipline? He is paying for a war with money he borrows from China. He has no problem giving tax breaks to the rich..but not the middle class..and he has the nads to call out THIS bill as lacking in fiscal discipline?

Just how stupid is the American Public? Are they buying what this fuckwit is selling? Christ, I hope not..I really do. There might beThe puppet show by Mark Bryan hope however. Vitter, the Rethug with a penchant for hookers has jumped onboard the opposition to BushCo’s veto by saying this:

“I am 100% confident that we can override this veto.”

Dude..I hope your right..at least your on the correct side of the issue this time around. With no hookers in sight, I hope your not blowing smoke up our collective asses.
